Easter is the No. 2 top-selling candy holiday, behind only Halloween (Valentine’s Day is No. 3).

The reason the date of the celebration changes each year dates back to 325 A.D. (you believe that?!). It was set under the Roman emperor Constantine as the first Sunday after a full moon following the Spring equinox.

Today is Saint Patrick’s Day — a celebration of Ireland’s patron Saint (celebrated for bringing Christianity to the Irish).

March 17th was supposedly the day he died in 461 AD.

Imagine the incredible results you’d have if you and your team really focused on a consistent basis.

You’d likely…

• waste less time ramping back up.
• serve customers better (internally and externally).

Sales history…

The 40-hour work week was established in 1938 as part of the Fair Labor Standards Act (starting as a cap of 44 hours until it locked in at 40 hours in what appears to be 2 years later). It was a factory worker and child labor protection issue rather than a scientific-study-end-all-be-all marker for optimal productivity.

Be sure you’re focusing on how much you can give with your time rather than how little of your time you can give. It’s a better bet for creating value (helping others), success, and ultimately, more fun.

In 1899, in one hour after dinner, Elbert Hubbard wrote a 1500-word essay (10-minute read) titled "A Message to Garcia."

A true story of initiative and responsibility, the piece went on to be printed more than 40 million times (it’s still well-known with the big dogs of business and required reading for Marine Corps recruits and Naval Academy students).
