“Life is no brief candle to me. It
is a sort of splendid torch,
which I have got a hold of for
the moment; and I want to
make it burn as brightly as
possible before handing it on to future generations.”
–George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)
Irish writer
Sales celebration…
Today is Saint Patrick’s Day — a celebration of Ireland’s patron Saint (celebrated for bringing Christianity to the Irish).
March 17th was supposedly the day he died in 461 AD.
Outside the money hours (or on a well-earned break), enjoy a 3.5 minute video history from History.com.
(Shouldn’t you and your friends know why you’re drinking that green beer?)

Shaw’s quote above is part of a larger thought of his that we really love at JustSell (get a printable copy of the whole thing)…
"I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatsoever I can.
I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake.
Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch, which I have got a hold of for the moment; and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."
