“The truth is, everything that has happened in my life… that I thought was a crushing event at the time, has turned out for the better.”
Warren Buffett (1930- )

resilience: noun: an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change (from Merriam-Webster)
We all fail from time-to-time (our doing, someone else’s doing, something else’s doing, a combination of each). It’s life.
To be resilient…
- Focus on results. Embrace the fact that results are what we’re all really after. Effort and attempts are great first steps, but we need to act with commitment to delivering (just like we want people to do for us).
- Make lessons of failures. Minimize the tendency to make a mistake anything more than a lesson on how not to do something. We need to learn from our experiences and accept them as tuition for future success. And yes… Our mistakes might put us in a bind at times and have some uncomfortable consequences but again, that’s real life.
- Continue on. Smarter.
- Reinforce. Support each other (and ourselves) by continually reminding and encouraging one another to deliver on the first three points.
That’s it. Let’s practice it more.

Hi it’s my first comment on anything and I just want to say how much I love Just Sell. I am a sales manager in England for a chilled and frozen food company. I am known by lots of customers as Mr Fabulous because thats how I am always Fabulous. All of my time is spent on the telephone and the usual comment on the phone is “good morning this is Barry from————–I ask how things are and they always ask how I am I, then I say can I be honest with you (and everyone thinks oh not so good or down etc etc etc, I then say FABULOUS thanks ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS”. It really cheers people up.
The main reason for my reply was that I had been given some canvas calls to make and I emailed my product list to the person in charge of purchasing and followed it up but could never get to the person responsible. After several attempts I sent another email asking if I could make an appointment for our sales director to spend a few minutes to tell him about us. The next morning I had an email saying “John I think this bloke is becoming a stalker” All it needed was for them to say I am sorry but we are not interested. This has really tested my RESILIENCE. I am still Fabulous though.
Kind regards
Barry
P.S.
sorry no photo I usually say I am not good looking but fabulous and I would’t swap it.
