A simple challenge where everyone wins (you and those around you). No risk. No additional time required.
Within the next three weeks, set a 2-day period as your days (or your team’s days) to inspire others. Two days where you’ll put on blinders to anything negative and be the one in the office who everyone else can count on for words and actions that inspire and encourage. Two days where you’re the light for other people – your colleagues, your prospects, your customers – no matter what.
Allow nothing negative and focus only on your service to others.
Once you set your two days, fully commit to the effort regardless of the inevitable challenges, regardless of the weather (please, never the weather). Fall off the inspirational horse at 2:11 on the first day? Get back on at 2:12 – no excuses.
Remember, you wake with an option for your daily attitude. Challenges will come up regardless.
Choose positive. Spread it for two days.
Be tough. Be SalesTough™.
Not only will it be contagious… it might become a habit.
(Who could do it with you? Email them this idea.)
Now go sell something.~>

This is awesome, I think that this should be something that companies do- company wide, with an incentive of course. It would really help you to stand out against your competitors- to show that Revenue isn’t everything, but really this would create loyalty – and revenue, but it looks like it doesn’t….now I will go sell something

I love this idea. If you’ve seen the movie ‘Yes Man’ you know what I mean. Seriously, this is a solid idea espeically in certain envrionments of business that lead sales people to non-productive and negative outlooks on the company.

Reading this opened up my eyes on how focused we are on the day-to-day negative all the while turning our blind side to the entire positive that occurs each day. I have forwarded the 2-Day Challenge on to our Director of Business Development and suggested to him that our entire department partake in this challenge beginning on January 4th 2010.
